The experience was quite memorable, especially with the private outdoor onsen that offered stunning views. I was there to unwind and explore the nearby Beppu Rakutenchi, which was just a short walk away. The traditional Japanese dinner served in our room was a culinary highlight, showcasing authentic flavors that added to the charm of our stay.

However, the location is somewhat isolated, making it difficult to access restaurants or shops without a car, which could leave guests hungry until breakfast.

the stay at this so-called 'luxury' ryokan was just mediocre, really. we waited over half an hour to start dinner, and the tiny portions were laughable, especially for a 'kaiseki' meal. Absolutely no upgrade for my 'special' occasion. i was clearly not their top priority. disappointed doesn’t even begin to cover it.

I was disappointed that the hotel did not pick us up as promised from the station, forcing us to take a taxi. Additionally, the in-room dining service we looked forward to was unavailable because they altered their meal plan last minute. Lastly, although the staff were eager to assist, their limited English made communication somewhat challenging.

The on-site couple onsen provided absolute relaxation after a day of exploring, and the staff were exceptionally friendly, making this experience unforgettable.

I had an lovely stay at this fine ryokan! The private outdoor onsen was the highlight, perfectly secluded and surrounded by nature. Dining was a culinary delight, with beautifully prepared traditional meals served in our room, showcasing the best of local flavors.

The premium Japanese-style house was a dream! Super spacious with air conditioning, free toiletries, a private bathroom. A hot tub and open-air bath. The beds were comfy with yukata and non-feather pillows. We enjoyed the massage at the spa and the public bath was great too. The food was delicious, showcasing local flavors!

The surrounding gardens and koi pond were absolutely beautiful, providing a tranquil ambiance. I loved the private family onsen that allowed us to unwind in peace. Additionally, the staff were incredibly accommodating and made my stay delightful.
